Being Courageous.

Status Update:

I’ve picked up these points on how to be courageous and have to say, I do share most of them for all of us to be gutsy and make a difference. The source for this I stumbled upon is right here

courage

Stand Out.  Take the hard road and embrace what people may think is impossible.  Work overtime with personal strengths.

Light Up Someone’s Life.  Make a connection with someone to help overcome a personal challenge.  Show them you care and believe in them.

Jump Right In.  While others are standing by watching JUMP in with both feet.  Waiting for someone to lay it out for you will result in missed opportunity.  JUMP!

Speak For Those Who Can’t.  Someone who’s defenseless or just not able to communicate effectively; speak up and speak out they need your help.

Pull Your Head Out Of The Sand.  Know what you’re up against.  Rank challenges in the order of importance.  Begin to work challenges like each challenge was your first job.

Hold Your Head High.  Don’t wear your emotions on your sleeve not everyone needs to know you’re going through hard times.  Chin Up and keep looking forward.

Accept Your Truth. See it. Believe it. Start accepting your truth for what it is nothing more and nothing less.

Finish Strong.  Sprint across the finish line.  Give all you got, push harder than you ever have and remember to give nothing less than your best.

Face your fears.  Fear creates anxiety which clouds the mind.  Take a moment and pin point your fear.  Push back, push through, seek positive outcomes and take action.

Explore Real Change.  Go places you never been.  Do things you’ve never done.  Routine is the foundation for stability but also takes you to the same places over and over again.  Leave your comfort zone and EXPLORE.

Go Back And Do The Work.  No one is perfect and our past has shaped our present.  If you want to be confident, brave, loving, charming, bold, talkative, fit, caring, and honest you have to put in the work.   Go get your LIFE back.

Focus On Your Next Step.  Keep your eye on the present but know the impact of each step.  Dare to LIVE with a clear purpose in life.

Stake Your Claim.  Fight against the status quo.  Step over the imaginary line and see who you will become.  What are you passionate about?

Rest If You Must.  But never quit. Never give in.

Stay Upbeat.  Steer clear of negative influences.  Call and hang out with friends who are upbeat, confident, and full of positive energy.

Go BIG or Go Home. Go to the edge with creative and innovative ideas.  Find your passion and develop it by any means necessary.

Status Update:

I’ve just launched the new website for the great people at Australian Workstation Manufacturers with their head office in Sydney, a few days ago.
Feeling really good about the project I’ve started from scratch (it is often better to demolish and start over, which is what I did), overhauling the company’s branding and polishing here and there following the new style guide. It’s really good to take over a client’s facade and bringing it to today’s competitive image so they match their top competitors in Australia.

Playing around with TiltShiftGen (you can pick it up from iTunes shop) you can get some nice looking shots with that blur effect and burned edges feel.

Ten Rules for Being Human.

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it’s yours to keep for the entire period.

2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, “life.”

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately “work.”

4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons does not end. There’s no part of life that doesn’t contain its lessons. If you’re alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.

6. “There” is no better a place than “here.” When your “there” has become a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here.”

7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life’s questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

10. You will forget all this.

All things white.

Sometimes you wake up thinking what else can I do to make yourself a happier living creature; but that doesn’t necessarily relates to money or fame, sometimes they come within but hey, who cares. We’ve all seen famous people that have it all and still feel sad and blue but enough about that.

All things white is a concept vintage cruise bike named Charlie. Charlie used to be shy but loved attention and he is not afraid to show it off parading his white rims matching his white cables. He once was an unhappy bike, a good bike nonetheless but who has forgotten about the little joys of life. One dark night Charlie felt tired and decided to simply lay down in the middle of the street, hoping to feel better, waiting for something to make him feel happier and forget about his frustration. The rust between his wheels and mudguards were itching and uncomfortable and the loneliness was unbearable. It was then when from the top of the hill a shadow approached tumbling down that ended up on top of him, which led to a bit of a pow wow.

We both knew it at that time, we were meant to find each other and join companionship and forces. Some time passed, creative  ideas cross-pollinated between those brake cables and mudguards, we needed to get Charlie smiling again. As his favorite colour of all times was white we went for an all white suit. White is the source of all colours and blank canvas for all creations, the one you can’t go wrong with! Although black doesn’t go wrong either, but we wanted to feel happier, case closed.

So this is it, a small story telling the journey of vintage Charlie giving birth once again. And watch out kids, Charlie cruises round Paddington, often on Sundays.

Life, as it is.

The world is meaningless, there is no God or gods, there are no morals, the universe is not moving inexorably towards any higher purpose. All meaning is man-made, so make your own, and make it well. Do not treat life as a way to pass the time until you die.

Do not try to \”find yourself\”, you must make yourself. Choose what you want to find meaningful and live, create, love, hate, cry, destroy, fight and die for it. Do not let your life and your values and you actions slip easily into any mold, other that that which you create for yourself, and say with conviction, \”This is who I make myself\”.

Do not give in to hope. Remember that nothing you do has any significance beyond that with which imbue it. Whatever you do, do it for its own sake. When the universe looks on with indifference, laugh, and shout back, \”Screw You!\”. Rembember that to fight meaninglessness is futile, but fight anyway, in spite of and because of its futility.
The world may be empty of meaning, but it is a blank canvas on which to paint meanings of your own. Live deliberately. You are free.

Rummaging through boxes.

We all keep things in boxes, It’s what makes us feel all cosy inside, happy to know that those bits and pieces from our past that we once cherished as gold will always be in a safe place, ready for us to open and transport us in a flash.

For a strange reason I always think more than twice before throwing something to the bin or good will, as the years went by I have always kept toys, objects and random bits from places I’ve been to and from people I’ve met along the way. I truly believe that these things are what makes us want to keep traveling to see what else we jam into this box. We could say at this point it’s a bottomless box, something resembling a black whole we can rummage through and retrieve moments on demand. Have you got a box?

Design is what keeps me going.

G’Day!

Glad you could make it. I’ve been working on my personal online portfolio lately to showcase up my latest work. New year, new start, right?

As a result I’ve created this is a a folio/blog that I will keep updating on regular basis to show you guys what I’m up to these days with design, including projects from work and personal ones I’m involved in. I’m also interested in freelance work or new ventures with other studios so drop me a line if you feel you’d like to talk about it.

Also I’d love to hear from you, there’s nothing better that design talk, I could spend days going off on a tangent but my doctor says to take it down a notch.
So hope you enjoy my work, I’ll make sure I keep it updated! Promise.
